Haechi, The Symbol of Seoul
as a big city, Seoul has a symbol namely Haechi. Haechi is first began in appearing in Silla era (57 BC - AD 935). a mythical creature as a guardian of justice which representing also safety and luck. in Jeoseon kingdom (1392 - 1910) statues of The Haechi were placed in palaces and homes to protect them from harm and misfortune. Haechi was chosen as a symbol of Seoul in May 2008. With the move, Seoul City has developed various products featuring Haechi to make it one of world’s best city brands.
