Gwanjang market is the first Korea regular market, opened in year 1905 also has a important history background.
in year 1905, the Japanese forced Korea to sign a protectorate treaty, after which Japanese merchants gained control over the spawling Namdaemun market. In response, nasionalist-minded merchants, gathered the funds and property needed to start a Korean-owned market and here it is, Gwangjang market.
You can find a lot of Korean traditional clothes such as Hanboks, and silks here. Also here, you can find Korean street food with cheap prices.
