Yaksik or it is also called Yakbab is made of glutinous rice. Glutinous rice is first steamed then mixed with sesame oil, soysauce and honey or brown sugar. Then it is steamed again with seeded jujubes, chestnuts, pine nuts etc. This is the most favorite dishes for Daeboreum celebrated in the 15th day of the first lunar month. This is literally called as a medicinal food.
I already tried Yakbab. When I ate it, I felt that a flavour and a fragrance of Yakbak came from the mixed seeds and rice, very unique, lighter taste of sweet.
