소나무 Sonamu


남산 위에 소나무 철갑을 두른
바람서리 불변함은 우리 기상일
“As the pine atop Namsan Peak stands firm, unchanged through wind and frost,
as if wrapped in armour, so shall our resilient spirit”.
애국 (Aegukga) The South Korea national anthem.

The word  소나무 (Sonamu) means a pine tree is written in애국 (Aegukga) The South Korea national anthem. 소나무 Sonamu is also represent of the spirit of Koreans.
Pine tree or we can call sonamu in Korean language is known as a grandfather of the trees.

 Survived in all of the season even winter, people in Korea make sonamu as a symbol of integrity, honor and strength. Sonamu has been deep rooted on Korean lives from birth to death, and also has been used for a material for housing to as an ingredient of food, medicine, cosmetic and health care. We can see how's the grandfather of the trees, sonamu is very close and useful for Korean lives.
