Namdaemun officially known as the Sungnyemun is the most important gate of the four great gates at the Seoul which were built in the Joseon Dynasty. It is situated due south central city and was the main entrance to the capital. Sungnyemun was built in September 1396 as a part of the city wall and being completed in February 1398. After torned by a fire in year 2008, now public can see this historical gate again after being rebuilt and restored for five years and three months and accomplished in 30th April 2013. The Republic of Korea's president Park Geun-hye lead the opening ceremony.
